    Name Johnnie Floss

What is your profession? Hip Hop artist and song writer

How did you get into the field that you are in today? Honestly my friends. When I was in college I was gonna quit music but they believed in me so much that they low key forced me to record so I fell back in love with the creating process. I always used to write but I finally was able to get in a actual studio and the rest is history.

What do you love most about your profession? I love creating and performing. It's nothing like making something and then seeing people's reaction to it. It goes hand in hand but I love performing a little more than creating it.

Tell us more about what you do? I'm a MC but more specifically I'm a punch line rapper. I feel like punchline rap is a lost art for younger artists. A lot of the older artists take pride in it but that's my super power. I would like to think I'm one of the best in that lane right now.

When did you discover that you had a passion for this field? I knew it once it started coming to me easy. I can literally be at a family function or the gym and come up with lines and lyrics. I can literally write anywhere. It's almost like I'm addicted but in a good way. If that makes sense. Lol

Who in your field do you look up... I look up to Fabolous, LL Cool J, Lil Wayne as far as mainstream. As far as other indie artists I look up to my guys Notes82, Cle'ph, Frank Knight, and Mack Wyatt. Y'all should definitely check them out they make great music.

I first discovered I had a passion for music when I was maybe 14 but before that I was into poetry heavily and I used to always follow my granddad to the gospel concerts and things of that sort he played guitar and I used to be up there aswell with a little guitar aswell as if I knew what I was doing so music has always been a part of me I feel like my voice is my greatest instrument and it is a way to escape and express myself.

Who in your field do you look up... I look up to rappers like Nas Kevin gates master p 50 cent and Soulja boy. Not saying those are my favorite rappers or who I listen to on a regular basis but I more so look up to them bc they stand on what they believe in and although they came from the bottom they made a way out for themselves and their loved ones so it’s more so a respect for their hustle and their morals as a man.
