  Name: H.E.M. Steel

  What is your profession? Musician/Rapper

  How did you get into the field that you are in today? I’ve loved music since I was a kid. I started performing when I was a teenager. Later, I went to freestyle competitions, cyphers, and eventually started recording in the studio. The rest is history.

  What do you love most about your profession? Everything. Music is a pure reflection of human thoughts and emotions and takes us on that journey.

  Tell us more about what you do? I also write songs for other genres, studio engineer, play the drums & bass guitar.

  When did you discover that you had a passion for this field? When I was 11 years old.

  Who in your field do you look up to? Stevie Wonder, Babyface, LL Cool J, Rakim, Nas, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Scarface, Ludacris, T.I., Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Wale, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole… and many more.
